Ronald Howard Smith, age 65

Ronald Howard Smith, 65, of North Little Rock passed away on March 30, 2020.  He was born in San Antonio, Texas to Oliver Orman Smith and Betty H. Johnson on March 5, 1955.

He was an Environmental Services Tech, who enjoyed watching action movies, westerns, and World War II documentaries. Ron also enjoyed fishing, listening to classic rock music and spending time with his loving wife, children and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his mother; his son James Michael Smith, and brother Randall Smith.

Ron leaves behind his loving family including his wife, Vera Kathryn Smith; his daughter Julie Smith of Labadieville, Louisiana; step-daughters Melanie Norris  (Nick) of Warren, Arkansas and Courtney Forrest (Hunter) of Warren, Arkansas; three grandchildren Ryder, Mercee and Brentlee; father Oliver Orman Smith; his siblings Suzy Henderson (Michael) of Ravenden Springs, Arkansas, Roger Smith (Monika) of Little Rock, Arkansas and Rob Harris (Shirley) of Shannon Hills, Arkansas and many friends and extended family.

In light of current circumstances, a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date and time.

Arrangements have been entrusted to A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas. 501-982-3400

    My darling,you brought joy and love and I basked in the warm glow of your love for me.You were an answer to a prayer back in 2009.God answered and sent a man to me that loved me for me with all my flaws.You were never mean or critucal,tou just loved.
    I feel an indescribable honor to have been called your wife.It was a aource of pride for me.You were and always have been,all heart and pure love.You will always be my sweet “Fuzzy bear”..my life,my love,my world forever.

    I will never put into words just how much this man meant to me growing up with him watching and learning from him sharing jokes and life as I was his step-brother he only called me my brother Ron I love you and will miss you RIP my brother
