Mary Bea (never Beatrice) Boston met up with Jim Boston in Heaven on May 8, 2020. She was born a Flanagan in God’s country (in particular, Black Oak, AR), and although she ventured out of it from time to time, she always ended up right back home in Arkansas.
She leaves behind family sprawled all over the nation, from a little white church in Aberdeen outward. Mary raised all sorts of kids from all generations – blood didn’t matter – she never met a baby she didn’t fall in love with. She raised us all up right and taught us that you never miss an opportunity to share God’s love, you stand up for what’s right, and you never pass up a good deal (not always in that order.)
She was a tall, stubborn, ornery woman, and more than a little crazy at times, and to know her was to love her. She passed on with plans to see Jesus, to hug her loved ones, and to have the biggest milkshake she could find. Her family she leaves behind is heartbroken, but rests easy knowing exactly where she is. Words can’t describe how blessed we were to have her for 81 years. May her laugh stay in our ears, her face in our minds, her God in our hearts.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 13, 2020 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Aberdeen First Baptist Church, Hwy 366, Roe, Arkansas. Graveside will begin at 12:30 pm at Boston Family Cemetery, Roe, Arkansas.
In light of the current health situation, Mary Bea’s family asks that anyone who is feeling ill to please refrain from attending services and the family will be grateful for your thoughts and prayers; for those who do not wish to attend due to health concerns the family understands. Social distancing regulations will be followed.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Gideons International at www.gideons.org
Arrangements are entrusted to A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas. 501-982-3400
