Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Roy Machado, 75

Roy Machado peacefully passed away at the age of 75 on May 27, 2020 in Cabot, AR.

From a young age Roy was devoted to his family, always taking care of everyone else before himself. While growing up and living in California he loved hunting deer and pheasant. He especially enjoyed eating limburger cheese and the only food he did not like was liver. He also loved music and his favorite artists were Marty Robbins, Elvis, and The Beach Boys. He followed in his father’s footsteps as a machinist for Southern Pacific Railroad. He served a total of 42 years with the railroad, which lead him away from his hometown of Sacramento, CA to Denver, CO in 1992 and then to Little Rock, AR in 1998.

He is proceeded in death by his parents John and Ellen Machado, sister Sharon, and brother-in-law Norman Sells.

Beloved husband of 53 years to Penny. Adored father to Mark and Stacey. Cherished grandfather to Devyn. Loving brother to Shirley Sells. Treasured uncle to Debbie Thomas and Norm Sells. Great uncle to 8 nieces and nephews. Great great uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

He is also lovingly survived by John Thomas and Sally Sells.

Due to the majority of the family being out of state, there will not be an immediate service held in Arkansas.
