I’m so sorry to learn of your loss Dana. Tommy was a good man and I enjoyed working with him many years ago. He loved his occupation and he was a
very devoted employee. We shared many good times at Central Arkansas Transit.

Tommy was a living legend and a living encyclopedia of all things related to streetcars, buses and intercity service in Arkansas and beyond. His career in public transit was also legendary. 62 years (and with all his volunteer and part-time work, probably longer than that!). He was wise and kind to everyone he met and will be remembered and missed.

Condolences to The Devore Family..I’m deeply touched and saddened by the news of Mr. Tommy’s passing! This man was so amazingly wise. He loved everyone regardless to race. He made coming to work easy because of at his age how devoted he was and we knew seeing him would make our day! This man could literally run the company by himself with the exception of an HR person. I’ve often asked about him trying to make my way to visit him but no one knew anything about what was going on or where he was at..He was an angel on earth and has now received his TRANSFER to heaven above! Mr .Tommy you were by far the kjndest..caring..wise..devoted man I’ve known! You will be greatly missed by many! Rest on until we meet again!

My sympathy to family in your loss of Mr. DeVore. Although I never knew him, I was privileged to speak with him on phone shortly before his last retirement. He and my grandfather, Leon Gary, both worked for C.A.T back in the 1950’s-1971, when my grandfather passed away. I ask that thd Lord provide you with comfort and strength in the days ahead.
