Zakee Abdul Wadood, Sr., age 63

Zakee Abdul Wadood, Sr., 63, of Hazen, Arkansas, passed away from life on August 24, 2020.  He was born in Hazen, Arkansas on August 6, 1957, to the late John Harris and Ruth Lee Qualls.

He was a loving father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend who proudly served in the United States Army.  Zakee was affiliated with the Islamic faith but most importantly, enjoyed being surrounded by his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his brothers Demetrius Qualls, and Chyde Qualls; his mother, Ruth Lee Qualls and father John Harris.

Zakee leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife Darlinea Bailey Wadood, his son, Zakee Wadood, Jr. (Jessica), his grandsons Malachi Amir Wadood, Jose Manuael Mercedes and Juan Pablo; his step-children left behind are: Taiwan Moore, George Moore, Jr., Terry Moore, Broderick Moore, and Edwina Sells Brock; his siblings Ruth Jane Qualls, Zola Mae Jackson, LeOtis Qualls, and Baseemah Hassan.

In light of the current health concerns, Zakee’s family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers if you are not able to attend the service. Please be aware, as per Arkansas directives, attendance will be regulated in accordance to Arkansas guidelines, all guests in attendance will be required wear masks/facial coverings and social distancing guidelines will be in place.

His family will receive visitors on Saturday, August 29, 2020 from 3:00 until 5:00 P.M. at A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas, 72076. 501-982-3400
