Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Greta Jean Harvey-Falkner, age 40

Greta Jean Harvey-Falkner, passed away on September 27, 2020 at the age of 40.

Greta was born on October 30,1979 in Bucks County, Pennsylvania to Wayne Lee and Michele Elaine Harvey. At the age of two, Greta’s family moved to Long Beach, California where Greta spent her formative years until leaving for college. She attended Bethany Lutheran School in Long Beach, California and Valley Christian High School in Cerritos, California.

Greta continues to have many life-long friends from her school days, even though she moved away from California.

Greta graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Journalism in 2002 and in 2005 she graduated with a Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas School of Law. She was proud to call herself a Razorback.

Greta began her law career as a Public Defender, determined to protect the rights of all people as prescribed by the law. She had a strong sense of justice for those who were underserved. Greta was a practicing attorney with the Arkansas State Police at the time of her death.

Greta was the proud mother of triplets born in 2010. They were the joy of her life. Gavin Bradley Falkner, Jackson Hamilton Falkner and Maddie Elizabeth Falkner will forever remember their fun, joyful, affectionate and loving mother. They will surely miss her constant snuggles.

Greta also leaves behind her parents, Wayne and Michele Harvey, her fiancé, William Prosser, her Aunt and Uncle, Myrna and Richard Goodwin along with her two cousins, Melissa and Megan Goodwin and their daughters, Addy and Nixon, as well as her ex-husband, Frank Falkner.

Greta was a member of Sylvan Hills First Baptist Church and had been a long time member of Bethany Lutheran Church where she was baptized and later confirmed at the age of 13.  The triplets were baptized at this same church when they were 1-year-old.

Greta will be remembered by her family and friends as fun-loving, out-going, loyal and caring with an amazing sense of humor and wit. She shared her faith and compassion not only with her family and friends but with community organizations for animal protection, domestic violence and legal assistance, especially for those she felt had been unjustly treated.

Greta’s son Jackson has a rare bone disease, MHE, and Greta has been passionate about finding a cure for this disease. For this reason, we kindly request that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Greta’s honor to the MHE Research Foundation, that supports further study of this disease and the search for a cure. You may donate on their website at www.mherf.org

A Celebration of Greta’s life will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Sylvan Hills First Baptist Church, 9008 Highway 107, Sherwood, Arkansas, 72120.

I wish we had stayed in touch more but life gets in the way. But you brought such joy into my life during the time we spent together. I feel so fortunate that I was able to be your roommate through 2 years of law school and to get to know you. I hope for peace for your family and children. I only knew Greta a short time in her new job. She was across the hall from my office and I treasure the time I was blessed to know her. She was a light and so full of kindness. I will miss our heartfelt discussions and her infectious smile. She impacted my life greatly in such a short time and she will definitely be missed by all who had the pleasure to meet her. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends, especially the triplets. She talked about them a lot and you could tell that they were her world. Blessings to all those who loved her. I’m so sorry for your loss. Greta was an amazing mom and person. She brought so much light into this world. I hope her children know how much she just adored them. You would be hard pressed to find another person that just gushed over her babies like Greta did. Prayers for peace and strength.

Oh how I love Greta! She was just a special soul! The way she loved people! The way she encouraged and just built you up! Her optimism was contagious. She found the bright side to situations and she was so strong in her Faith. She shared it with everyone! The triplets were her world! Her friends and family were her world! She never hesitated to help a stranger. The changing times kept us from hanging but text became a way to catch up.
Oh how I’ll miss her! The world needs more people like her.
I believe He makes good of all things and I know I will see her again!
See you soon, Greta! Stay rad!

I’m sending my deepest condolences to Greta’s family, especially her triplets. Greta was one of the most kind, caring and spunky people I’ve ever met. I’ll treasure my time with her in law school always. I know she’s in a better place and will be the best guardian angel to her three, beautiful kids.

    Sending much love,
    Ashley

Greta worked for me around the time she learned she was expecting the triplets. I remember going to her baby shower and how absolutely thrilled she was to be a Mother. Greta was a great attorney and a wonderful “foster dog mother” before she started her most important role! To know Greta and her infectious smile was to love Greta and her unbounded energy! I will forever miss her vibrant personality and curious discoveries and antidotes! She will be forever remembered!

I remember Greta as a 4 year old leading us through Disneyland. It was a magical day with her showing us how to have fun there. I also remember Greta, with Michele and Wayne, visiting us in Ashland, Oregon, as a 16 year old. She was so sweet and caring. Michele and Wayne, you did such of wonderful job of raising your beautiful daughter, to become a wonderful mom herself. We are all devastated at your loss. I am praying for you all.

Greta, I knew you for what some would same a short chapter in your amazing book, however it is certainly a highlight in mine! I adored being around you, and loved to see you coming! You had such a vivacious and infectious spirit!!! I recall the day you told me you were moving to Arkansas and invited me to brunch at the Corner Bakery! That day at brunch, we laughed, shared girl talk, and discussed how excited yet nervous you were about your move. You then told me, you had dressed up all fancy just because you were meeting me and you knew how fancy I liked to get! I took it as a huge compliment! You then took a picture of me and said look at how gorgeous you are? I right after took yours, so you could too see how absolutely gorgeous you were-it was this picture here! What a great memory! Greta, you were a jewel!
