Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Melissa “Missy” Ann Johnston, age 52

Melissa “Missy” Ann Johnston, 52, of North Little Rock went peacefully home to her Heavenly and Earthly Father’s on November 9, 2020.  She was born in Stillwell, Oklahoma on January 30, 1968 to Melvin Eugene Faddis and Paula Jean O’Neal Faddis.  She is preceded in death by her mother Paula and father Melvin.

Missy will always be remembered as a wonderful mother to her daughters, lovingly referred to as “the girls”.  She was the Leader of their Girl Scout Troup and made the greatest memories during their many excursions.  She was also recognized as “Amazing Dugout MOM” on The Lady Bucs Softball Team. Whatever “the girls” were involved in, Missy was their biggest fan. She worked at Dillard’s Corporate Office for nearly 35 years and was always thankful for a career where her opinion was valued.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Johnston; her daughters Makenzie Grace Johnston, Autumn Hope Johnston, and Amber Faith Johnston; her siblings Paul David Faddis (Rita) and James Edward Faddis (Kim); as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

We would like to thank the wonderful nurses and doctors at Davita Dialysis (Dr. Rasheed) and UAMS who cared for her over the past several years.  She will be missed so much by so many.

In light of the current health concerns, Missy’s family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers if you are not able to attend the service. Please be aware, as per Arkansas directives, attendance will be regulated in accordance with Arkansas guidelines, all guests in attendance will be required to wear masks/facial coverings and social distancing guidelines will be in place.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 12, 2020 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas. 501-982-3400

A private burial in Oklahoma.

Missy will be missed. She is so much better off than any of us right now. She loved her daughters dearly, and was so very proud of all three of them. Rest in Peace Missy. My thoughts and prayers are now with your family, to get them through this difficult time.

Missy was a great asset to Dillard’s. I could always count on her to figure any issue that came up…she was like a Sherlock Holmes! We will all miss her. She was a great team member and great friend to us all. I hope her Girls take comfort in knowing how much she loved them.

Missy will be greatly missed and my prayers are with you and all of your family. She was such a wonderful person and Loving Mother! I worked very closely with you over the last 8 years and learned so much from her. She always loved to talk about her beloved girls and how excited she was to share everything about them growing up.
