Cindy is survived by her daughter, Kristen (Lee) Hector, grandchildren, Lauren and Landon, mother and stepfather, Elaine and Grover Desmond, brother, Chip Lloyd, sister, Jody Melia, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and friends across the world.  As an avid animal lover, she is survived by her grand-furbabies, Charley and ZuZu, and Miss Devi.  She will also be missed dearly by the birds, squirrels, bunnies, and deer that lived near her home.

A private celebration of life will be held with her family in Kansas City, MO.

A Military Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

I was shocked to see this in today’s newspaper. Kristen, I am so sorry and you have my deepest sympathy. We enjoyed being next-door neighbors (when she was Flynn and I was Newburg), and, of course, Cindy and I worked together for a while at Bushman Court Reporting, long ago, and were friends. We lost track in recent years, but I always enjoyed her and I am so sad to hear this. She was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed. I will make a donation in her memory. Love, comfort, and peace to all who are suffering because of Cindy’s passing.
