Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Gary Tackett, age 60

Gary Tackett, 60, of Jacksonville, passed away on December 19, 2020.  He was born on October 21, 1960 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Tommy and Lois (Carmical) Tackett.

He graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1979 and was a member of the Cabot United Methodist Church. He was the owner of Jacksonville Kawasaki.

To know Gary was to love him.  He had a great sense of humor and he loved his family deeply.  If you knew him, you knew his love for motorcycles.  Gary raced short track for years as a teen.  He continued racing and even placed #1 in the nation competing in the Sportsman Class of the National Drag Bike Association. He then continued his passion for motorcycles and ATV’s as his career, working in the family business.

Gary’s other loves were taking beach trips with his family and hanging out by the pool.  He loved Razorback Football and Basketball and all sports.  He was also a true Patriot and loved his country.  Gary was a very loving and caring person, and would do anything for anyone in need. He will be deeply missed.

Gary leaves behind his loving daughter, Danielle Brown (Joe) of North Little Rock, Arkansas; his grandchildren Beckett Brown and Spencer Brown; his parents Tommy and Lois Tackett of Jacksonville, Arkansas; his former wife Bobbi Faye Tackett of North Little Rock, Arkansas; his sister Melody Moler (Blaine) of Vilonia, Arkansas; his two nieces Emily Neal and McKinley Moler; his great-niece Miley Neal and great-nephew Peyton Neal; and a host of extended family and friends.

I got to know Gary when he lived at Red Oak Airpark. I shared a love for motorcycles and drag racing and loved to talk with him about the sport. So sorry to hear about his passing. Prayers go out to his family and may the Lord be with them all.

I joined the family when Gary was 9 years old. I remember the motorcycle races and a few years later he started racing. I always like his friendly happy love of life his wonderful smile and talkative outgoing personality. I pray the memories of good days and happy times bring peace for the family who love him.
