Jerry Grady Addington, age 62

Jerry Grady Addington, age 62, of Blackland, surrounded by family passed from this life, on Friday, December 18, 2020. Jerry was born February 28, 1958 in Newport, Arkansas to Alice Ann Shannon Wagner and Franklin Dean Addington. 

Jerry was a truck driver for many years and later in his life became a safety specialist for DZ Atlantic he immensely enjoyed this position and pursuing the education it required to obtain it. Jerry was a talented musician and had a natural ability to play any instrument he picked up. Jerry loved sharing this gift with others by giving guitar lessons. Jerry loved to fish and hunt and could spend countless hours on Greers Ferry Lake night fishing. 

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Letty Sue and his daughter, Maggie Ruth Addington House (Cory) of Blackland, one daughter of his heart Shannon Lynn Freeman Strother (Michael) of (Floral). He is survived by two grandchildren of his heart Gavin and Beckett Strother of (Floral). He is survived by two brothers Dean Addington of Thida and Joe Wagner (Rebecca) of Highland, Indiana and one sister Mary Beth Addington. He is also survived by 6 brother-in-laws and their spouses. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly and enjoyed making memories with. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister Debbie Lynn Addington Freeman.

Jerry requested no service be held in his honor, but instead he would like his family and friends to remember him with happy and joyful life memories filled with music, laughter and most of all love.

    I have nothing but great memories and a fond kinship for Jerry. It has been a long time since we saw each other but the pic of him with the guitar is very familiar. It saddens my heart for you Letty.
