Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Joan Olivia Romberger, age 80

Joan Olivia Romberger, perfect child of God, left this Earthly realm December 22, 2020.

She is free to reunite with her adored parents – James & Edna, her beloved brother Jim, sister-in-law Darlene, nephew John and great-nephew Jimmy Dale. All who awaited her with our father in Heaven.

Joan was the most amazing mother to Dawn, Deanne, Tommy, Brenda, Laura, Tammy, Michelle and Stephen – whom she loved unconditionally, with her full, whole heart.

She was Nana to Nicky, Autumn, Emily, Sammy, Anna & Brandon. And she was Nana #2 to Aria and Parker.

She was loved by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Joan loved music. And, was an original committee dancer on the original American Bandstand in Philadelphia, PA. On that show, she owned the fast dance! She marched for civil rights, loved animals, had a wicked sense of humor and always fought for the underdog. What an incredibly strong, intelligent, independent Wonder was she.

There is hardly enough space to distill a life full of love, sacrifice, laughter and tears. Among the many gifts / lessons she gave us, what seems to this daughter to be her greatest, would be to have empathy for others (people and animals) and to help all those God put in our path that need it.

May we all strive to live our lives with this lesson in mind, and to make you proud, mom. We will always love you.

She was the best mother anyone could ever hope for. She taught me everything I needed to know in my life and taught me how to live life the right way. I am the man I am because of her. I miss her so much everyday and it’s really hard knowing I won’t get to talk to her never again or hear her voice. I will always love you Mom

I love you Joanie. You are my friend. I look back at some of the fun times we have and laugh myself silly. It feels wrong to laugh but I know you would want that for us. See you on the other side

She loved you too Wanda! She was so thankful we had each other in Jr/Sr High School. She was right there crying with me when you found me years later. I couldn’t even read your phone number through the tears of happiness! She was the best Mom and one hell of a woman!! Miss her so much!!!
