Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Zona Lou Jones, 61

Zona Lou Jones, 61, of Casscoe, Arkansas, died on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Virtle Lou Nolte Massey, of Camden, and her father, Kenneth H. Jones, of Stuttgart.

She is survived by her daughter, Lauren Cross, and husband, Joseph, of El Dorado; chosen daughter Megan Halley, of Cabot; best friend of 43 years, Joan Staton, and her family; two brothers; two sisters; five nieces and nephews; Collin Cage, her special boy, who loved his “Nona”; many adopted family members; and the church family at New Salem Missionary Baptist Church, whom she loved dearly.
Zona was a Licensed Practical Nurse, who spent her life caring for others. She worked tirelessly to care for her girls, and taught them how to push toward their goals and successes in life.  Her favorite titles were “Mom” and “Nona,” and one of the greatest joys of her last years was playing and spending time with her special great-nephew, Collin. Zona was an animal lover and her pets were always spoiled. She was a lover of nature and spent much of her time exploring and studying the beauty of God’s creation.

She was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

She was a member of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church for many years. The paramount purpose of her life was serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

A Family hosted memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at New Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Casscoe.
