Billy Joe Free of Austin, AR passed on to his eternal resting place on January 23, 2021. He was born June 8, 1959 to W.A. and Bertha Free in St. Joe, Missouri. Billy was the third of five children. Billy was a heavy equipment operator for over 30 years. He was well known for helping the neighbors and others without asking for anything in return. He was an avid deer hunter, loved growing a garden, and enjoyed other outdoor activities.
Billy is survived by his wife of 41 years, Linda Free, two sons, Danny Free of Austin, AR and Scott and Rylee Free of Searcy, AR, three brothers Mike, Jimmy, Ralph and wife Donna Free all of Beebe, AR.
He was preceded in death by his parents, W.A. & Bertha Free, and sister Linda Beaver.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2021 from 6-8pm at A Natural State Funeral Service. Funeral Service will be Thursday, 2pm on January 28, 2021 at A Natural State Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Oakgrove Cemetery in Austin, Arkansas.
In light of the current health concerns, Billy’s family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers if you are not able to attend the service. Please be aware, as per Arkansas directives, attendance will be regulated in accordance to Arkansas guidelines, all guests in attendance will be required to wear masks/facial coverings and social distancing guidelines will be in place.
