Charles Booker Simpson, age 83

Charles Booker Simpson, 83, of Alexander, passed away on January 27, 2021. He was born April 28, 1937 in Hagler, Arkansas to Charley Barrett Simpson and Ida Willene Jacobs.

Charles was a “jack-of-all-trades” as he held various occupations throughout his lifetime. He started early in life in delivery at a local grocery store, moved on to Lido Cafes in Little Rock, then began raising hogs and cutting hay on his own.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents Charley and Ida Simpson and sister Sara Carey.

Charles leaves behind his children Laura Kay Adams, James Carr Simpson, Charles Booker Simpson, Jr, and Ronda Dianne Ross; seven grandkids and several great-grandkids; and brothers Limuel Simpson (Mary Ruth) and Hurston Simpson.

Charles’s visitation will be Tuesday, February 2, 2021 from 1:00-2:00 PM at Bayou Meto Cemetery located at 1115 Highway 276 in Stuttgart, Arkansas. Graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM.

In light of the current health concerns, Charles’s family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers if you are not able to attend the service. Please be aware, as per Arkansas directives, attendance will be regulated in accordance to Arkansas guidelines, all guests in attendance will be required to wear masks/facial coverings and social distancing guidelines will be in place

    R.I.P. We miss you already. Life is not gonna be the same without you. Our hearts are aching because you were such a big part of our lives. Haiden and Peyton will always ask “Where’s tha Booker” they will miss you too. We love you Booker.
