Don”s one liners were the best! No matter how he felt, when he answered the phone, it was always a laugh and made my day.He always had a helping hand ready for anyone, my flat tire for one in November. He will be missed on this earth, we’ll see him some day!

I’ve Known Don over 35 years. I thought of him as family, always there to lend a helping hand if needed and cheer you on.. Don was quite the jokester. One of my fondest and oldest memories was the time about 15 of us gathered to go out to eat catfish. The single serving dinner was just the right portion for me. This particular night, engaged in conversations, eating my fish, satisfying my hunger and becoming confused because the fish on my plate didn’t seem to decrease by the number of pieces of fish I thought I had eaten. Turns out Don was replacing the fish I consumed from his all you can eat dinner. It gave everyone at the table a good laugh. Don didn’t stop there, some of us got home and discover a purse full of peanuts too. I’m gonna miss hearing “the golden years ain’t so golden”. One day there will be a great reunion with those that got to heaven before we did.
