Earl “Tony” Lonzo Anthony, 85

Earl “Tony” Lonzo Anthony, 85, of Sherwood, passed away January 13, 2021. He was born February 15, 1935 in Hammond, Louisiana to William Clyde Anthony and Lillie Mae Oliphant.

Earl loved and played music. He was inducted into the Louisiana Country Music Hall of Fame for the song Truck Driver. Earl enjoyed spending time with his family.

Earl is preceded in death by his parents William Clyde Anthony and Lillie Mae Oliphant; brothers Benjamin Leo Anthony, Eugene Anthony, and William C. Anthony Jr.; and children Nicky Lynn Anthony and Dennis Earl Anthony.

Earl leaves behind the Love of his Life Joyce Brooks; grandchildren Ashley Gordan, Amanda Anthony, and Angelena; siblings Carl Anthony, Ray Anthony, and Arthur Anthony; and many other family and friends.

In light of current public health concerns, a family hosted service will be held at a later date. His family is very grateful for your understanding, support and prayers in this difficult time.
