Harold “Buddy” C. Pettey, age 77

Harold “Buddy” C. Pettey, 77, of Lonoke, Arkansas passed away   February 16, 2021. Buddy was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on June 17, 1943.

Buddy is preceded in death by his parents Bill and Lela (McGloflin) Roberts and his sisters Sharon Shelton, Betty Tullos, and Billie Joyce Smith.

He is survived by his loving wife Rebecca Pettey; his children Tom Pettey (Laura), Darrell Pettey (Polly), Woody Pettey, Carl Wilson (Jesse), and Kelley Emerson; 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; his sister Donna Rodriguez (Fernando) and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Buddy spent most of his working life as a professional over the road truck driver. He absolutely loved Country and Western music, dancing, and he had a weakness for flea markets and yard sales. Buddy really enjoyed playing dominoes with his family and spending as much time with them as he could. He will be missed by all that knew him.

In light of the current health concerns, Buddy’s family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers if you are not able to attend the service. Please be aware, as per Arkansas directives, attendance will be regulated in accordance to Arkansas guidelines, all guests in attendance will be required to wear masks/facial coverings and social distancing guidelines will be in place.

Buddy’s visitation will be on Friday, February 26, 2021 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 2:00pm.

Services are under the trusted direction of A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas, 72076. 501-982-3400.

    Becky, i know Buddy was a good man. I also know he was loved I love him and loved our calls when Buddy talked with us on speaker phone. I am so glad when we meet and spent time with you and Buddy. He could make me laugh. I know my heart aches for you Carl and those babies. And for all of y’all’s family and friends. I know he is at peace and out of pain smiling down on all family and friends. God Be with you and all the family. We love you and remember the memories. I love you Sis ❤️

    Buddy was a wonderful friend to my husband and I, we met him few years ago at Jimmy Doyle’s Country Club, dancing. We loved Buddy, he was a kind gentle soul, always a gentleman. He loved his family. Our hearts and prayers are with you all. May God give you comfort and peace during this difficult time and throughout the days ahead.     Prayers for all the families.Buddy is a lifelong friend of mine.I was there when 3 of his children were born and enjoyed time we spent with his family.Family dinners picnic camping or dancing we always had fun.We will miss you Bud. Fly high.

    I didn’t know buddy very long but after meeting him I sure wished I had, he knew my daughter kim, they were good friends. he was such a good down to earth person and wish we could have had a chance to go fishing together but it was not to be, our thoughts prayers go out to Becky and the family. thank you all for your kindness and god bless you
