Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Mary L. Lyons, age 63

Mary L. Lyons, 63, of Sherwood, Arkansas passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Baptist Health Hospital in North Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born in Charleroi, PA to Diane W. Gelder and George E. Bender on March 25, 1957.
Mary was a beautiful woman with a heart of gold. She loved everyone she met and if she didn’t know you when she met you, she did before you parted. She loved all of her family and friends immensely and she showed that by mailing loving and encouraging cards, sending texts right on time, and praying continually for their needs at that time in their lives. She loved being outdoors and enjoying God’s most delicate creations; its no surprise that she had the most beautiful gardens!
Mary attended the Baring Cross Baptist Church. Her love for her Savior shined through as a light in a darkened world.
“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Psalm 73:26
Mary was preceded in death by her husband and father of her children: Donald N. Barnett; her second husband: Jesse Lyons; and her father: George E. Bender.
She will be deeply missed by her children: Jeremiah N. Barnett and Katie N. McGuire (Michael) and two step- daughters; Grandchildren: Mackenzie Grace McGuire, Nolan Michael McGuire, Sophia Nicole Wright, and Dominic Hadley Barnett. She was a loving sister to: Joanie Hayes (Dave), Ralph George “RG” Bender (Peggy), Cindy Moir, Ginny Strawser (Scott), half- sister, Tanya Schilling (Michael) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends and family.
Arrangements are entrusted to A Natural State Funeral Service,  2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas, 72076. 501-982-3400
