Samuel Lee Purnell, age 49

Samuel Lee Purnell, age 49, of North Little Rock passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021. He was born on September 15, 1971 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Lee was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend.  Lee was a heat and air technician as well as a locksmith by trade.

Lee is survived by his parents, Jimmy Layne Purnell and Athlene Lucille Caple-Purnell of North Little Rock, Arkansas, his sisters; Beth Johnson (Shuan Shelton) of Granbury, Texas, Amie Purnell-Davis (James Reittinger) of Tipp City, Ohio, a nephew, Jacob Johnson, a niece Ainsley Davis, as well as many friends and extended family members.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 7, 2021 from 1-3 pm in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas, 72076.  501-982-3400.

    Lee I’m saddened for having to chat with you from here but my thoughts and prayers are definitely with your family. Mrs Athlene if you need anything don’t hesitate to call on me.     Lee you were the closest thing I had to a little brother, you always have had a piece of my heart. I know that you are no longer in pain but will be dearly missed by all who love you. May God give peace and comfort to your family.
