Sharon (Sandy) Frances Ewing, 67

Sharon (Sandy) Frances Ewing, 67, of Alexander, AR, passed away peacefully in her home after a two-year battle with cancer at 3:38 a.m., Saturday, August 28, 2021.  She was born November 7, 1953 in Hughes Springs, TX, to Eldon (Charlie) Ewing and Mary Melton Ellis.

She is survived by three children, Sandra (Tim) Hurt, Joshua (Catherine) Ozment, and Stormy (Brandon)Reed, her five grandchildren Daniel Lowry, Whitney Carswell, Bryson Gill, Alia Jones, and Austin Hurt and three great-grandchildren Lincoln Carswell, Noelle Carswell, and Leon Lowry.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers, Billy Ewing and Jack Parker. She spent her adult life caring for others as a home health/hospice nurse and served over ten years as a nurse at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock.  In her spare time, she loved caring for her plants and her beloved animals.  After her retirement from the medical field, she spent much of her time as a housekeeper and caregiver for many friends and neighbors.

The family will have a private memorial time to honor her life.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ASPCA.

    We loved Sandy. She was such a blessing to me and my husband. She will truly be missed.

    Sandy was the best sister/best friend you could ask for. We weren’t blood but should have been. Sure gonna miss my Nascar watching buddy! Gone but never forgotten 💔

    She will be missed here on Lequieu Lane. Sandy was a wonderful neighbor and friend. May God bless the family with good memories in the days ahead.

    Sandi was a Good friend and neighbor for 20 years our dog susie would get out and we would aways find her at sandi’s she loved our dogs sandi would take care of susie and sassy for us when we had to go out of town.
    We got to help take care of sandi the last 3 months with all the other friends she got.
