Rachel Lynn Murie, 42, of Damascus passed away on Saturday, October 17th, 2015. She was born on January 23, 1973 to Richard and Sharon Rockwell in Malvern, Arkansas. Rachel was preceded in death by her grandfather, James B. Rockwell Jr. and father-in-law, Bob Lee Murie.

Rachel is survived by her husband, Chris Murie; her parents, Richard and Sharon Rockwell; her grandmother, Ona Rockwell and grandparents, Richard and Carolyn Crone; her children, Robert Proctor, Brandon Proctor and Ashley Murie; her sisters, Teresa Rockwell and Renee Rockwell; and her mother-in-law, Launa Murie.

Rachel was a member of the First Baptist Church of Damascus. She loved animals and flowers but more importantly she was a devoted mother and daughter.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, October 22, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Damascus with interment immediately following at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Rosebud. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to A Natural State Funeral Service 2620 W. Main Street Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076.

    My deepest sincere condolences with you and your family since I haven’t seen your Mother, Sherry, nor your Father, Rocky in ages. Since we are family, its a shame we don’t get together except for the heartbreaks, but I know God is in control of everything, and he will guide us through it all!!
