Edward Lee “Butch” Smith, 63

Edward Lee “Butch” Smith, 63, of El Dorado passed away on January 16, 2016. He was born March 31, 1952 in Gordo, Alabama to Clifton and Bessie Lee (Peach) Smith. He worked for El Dorado Mobile Homes. He had a love for his family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Bessie Smith; brother, Victor Smith; grandson, Austin Shipp; three great nieces, Shelly Lopez, Smantha Opperman, Caitlyn Opperman and great nephew, Carter Opperman.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Faye Smith of El Dorado; two sons, Chirs (Amy) Smith of New Caney, Texas, Tracy Smith of El Dorado, Rufus (Tracie) Shipp, David (April) Shipp of Camden, LaLainya Shipp and Crystal Husbands of El Dorado; sisters, Dolores Strum and Brenda Starr of Nevada, Iowa, Linda (Joe) Moon of Oreanta, Alabama. He had 15 grandchildren that he adored.

The family requests memorials be made in his honor to Hospice House of El Dorado, Arkansas.
