Jack Richard Crossan, age 91, of Sherwood, passed away on March 30, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lesley and Elizabeth Crossan. He was born in Huntington Park, California on October 15, 1926. Jack proudly served in the U. S. Army.
Jack is survived by Steve Phelps, lifetime partner for over fifty years, numerous nieces and nephews, and a large extended family.

Jack was a fine pianist and musician, a great teacher, and a good friend. I had the joy of studying with him at UC Riverside in the 1970’s, and although we never saw each other again, we stayed in touch all these years until he was unable to do so the past couple of years. His teaching was a lifelong gift to me, and he has been and remains with me every time I sit at the piano. Rest in peace, my friend.
