Morris D. Mize, 67, of Sparkman passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019 after a valiant battle with cancer. He was born on December 1, 1951 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Don and Goldie Mize.
Morris proudly served in the United State Navy and loved to play golf in his free time.
He leaves behind his two children Melanie Wofford (Tim) and Loren Mize (Jamie); three grandchildren Colton, Keegan and Austin; one brother Gary Mize (Diane); two nieces Alissa Coyle and Julia Treadway; as well as; many other friends and relatives.
Visitation will be on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.at A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas.
Graveside services will be on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at Arkansas Memorial Gardens, 8507 Hwy 161, North Little Rock, Arkansas.
The family would like to give a special acknowledgement and thanks to his work family at Lumber 1, Mayflower for the active care and support throughout Morris’s entire illness.

Many memories, so much fun, playing baseball on the corner lot, going to school to just hanging out. Working together for many years at SFA, NLR. Just like family. You will be missed, like a brother. Praying for God’s blessing and mercy.

I have many fond memories of him, while working with him at National Home Center. He always seemed to have a smile on his face and had a twinkle in his eye. I am so sorry for your loss and pray that God comforts your family

Morris was a good kid when we were in Jacksonville High. Have not seen him in 50 years.
