Archie J. “A.J.” Davidson, 87, of Hensley passed away on January 10, 2020. He was born in Keo, Arkansas on September 18, 1932 to the late Archie Jefferson Davidson and Georgia Dorothy (Clements) Davidson.
He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was the founder and President of the Davidson Hunting Club for over 50 years. He loved fishing, hunting, spending time with his family and friends. In 1998, he retired from 45 years of tire sales.
He is preceded in death by his wife Bettie Davidson; his children Tony Davidson, Dale Davidson, Vernon Edward Justice; grandson Donald Justice; brother Lloyd “Junior” Davidson and sister Beatrice Reedy.
A.J. leaves behind his loving children Marsha Jenkins of Lonoke, Carolyn Gordon (Danny) of Mabelvale and Joe Davidson (Judy) of Lonoke, Arkansas; eight grandchildren Mandy, Donna, Shane, Aaron, Jennifer, Harley, Carolyn and Gena; 15 great-grandchildren; brother Vernal Lee; sister Martha; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Graveside visitation will be Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at Woodson Cemetery, 6211 Woodson Lateral Road, Hensley, Arkansas with services to follow at 11:00 A.M.
Arrangements have been entrusted to A Natural State Funeral Service, Jacksonville, Arkansas.
