Vera Mae Lee Worthen, age 88

Vera Mae Lee Worthen became an angel in Heaven on December 2, 2020.  She was born on November 11, 1932 in Griffithville, Arkansas to the late Thomas M. Lee, Sr. and Nancy Caroline Dew Lee.  She lived 88 fun-loving years with as much fun, joy and laughter as she could possibly fit in.  She was unique and special in so many ways and never met a stranger.   She loved cooking wonderful meals for her family and was always ready for a good tennis match with her wonderful friends. 

She is proceeded in death by her husband of 43 years, Dale Worthen, one brother and three sisters.  She leaves behind two daughters, Debbie Weaver and Nancy Worthen, who adored and cherished her, her grandson, Jason Weaver, her great-grandson, Grant Weaver, her nephew, Wayne Lee and his wife Carolyn and their family.  She is also survived by a host of friends and family.

The Family would like to thank Good Shepherd Nursing and Rehabilitation for the loving care they showed to Vera.

Even though she in in a better place, there are no words to describe how much Vera will be missed.

Due to the pandemic there will be no memorial service at this time.  There will be a gathering in the future to celebrate Vera’s life.

    I have many fond memories of playing at her her house as a child with Debbie and Nancy. This sweet lady will be missed for sure.
