Betty Housdan (Carter); age 77 of Conway, AR, passed away peacefully Sunday February 7th, 2021. She was born June 6, 1943 to Wilson and Gladys Carter in Walnut Ridge, AR.
Betty married, C.D. Housdan on June 17th, 1965.
A passionate teacher, Betty began teaching in 1983, and effected generations in that pursuit until her retirement from Head Start in 2014. She loved a long chat, a cold Coke on ice and a good laugh. She will be missed dearly by all that knew her.
She is survived by her daughters; Jeneen Housdan & wife Kassie Housdan of Sherwood, AR and Elizabeth Mancini (Housdan) & husband Dante Mancini of Milton, FL; grandchildren Victoria Stork (Johnson), Corrine Johnson, Garrett Booker, Kirstin Mancini, Ethan Mancini and Gabriel Mancini; and great-grand daughters Kairi and Everly Stork; brother David Carter and several loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and sisters Billie Ruth, Aline, JoAnn, and Barbara.
Having a love for lighthouses, the beach and seagulls, Betty’s ashes will be scattered by loved ones at Cape Henry, VA in honor of her love for all things seaside.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests to please send donations to St. Jude’s in her honor.
