Michael Shane Groves, age 48

Michael Shane Groves, age 48, of Cabot, Arkansas, passed away on March 28, 2023. He was born on January 19, 1975, to Teresa Groves.

Mike was not afraid to tell you what was on his mind. The good, the bad, and the ugly. He would always do anything for anyone at the drop of a hat. He always knew how to break the ice. Making people laugh when they didn’t want to, and a smile that touched your soul. It’s hard to put into words the kind of person that Mike was. He meant something different to everyone, but he was always himself. Mike had a stare that could pierce right through you, and a smile to follow. Michael always worked very hard to support and protect his family, that was number one. He always kept an eye out for everyone.

Mike was a big Chiefs fan. There wasn’t a game that went by that wasn’t quiet. Especially since Mahomes brought life back to football!

Mike did volunteer work with “his ladies” every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The family on behalf of Michael extends their thanks and gratitude towards those wonderful ladies.

Michael is survived by his wife, Krystal Daniella Bardwell; children Cylus Wayne Groves, Darius Sean Groves, Chad Gregory Groves, and Michael Shane Groves II-Fitzpatrick (Khloe and Preston); his mother Teresa Ann Groves; sisters Rebecca Ann Howell (Jeff, Jesse, and Alexis) and Brittany Lynn Hull (Devin and Dennis); brother Raymond Ricky Hull (Olivia and Nola); Uncle John Gregory Groves (Jane, Heather, and Courtney).

Michael is preceded in death by maternal grandparents John Henry and Bettey Mae Groves; uncle and namesake Michael Wayne Groves; brother Phillip Gregory Bardwell; and Father Joel Levay III.
