Carolyn Bean was granted her angel wings on the morning of Sunday, July 7, 2024 at the age of 68 after years of battling illness.
Carolyn was born on April 29, 1956 in Forrest City, Arkansas. She was the oldest of eleven children. Carolyn attended Forrest City High School. She traveled extensively around the world while fulfilling her passion as a loving child care provider. Throughout her career at the childcare centers, she earned multiple awards, highlighting her exceptional expertise, commitment and profound influence in early childhood development. Carolyn was a source of encouragement and truly enjoyed inspiring the youth. Throughout her distinguished career, she not only garnered numerous awards but also created so many meaningful, lasting friendships, showcasing her approachable personality.
Carolyn was especially remembered for her love for children, but her attributes extend far beyond that. She had the qualities of every girl’s best friend. Carolyn was trendy, sociable, and never forgot a face. She was a protective mother who would sacrifice anything for her children and grandchildren. She frequently expressed how motherhood transformed her life for the better and this was evident in the love and support she showered her children with. Carolyn took special joy in parenthood and had fond memories of their family.
Carolyn was often described as the glue that kept everyone together, particularly through the bond she shared with her siblings. Always willing to lend an ear, she was easy to talk to, honest and funny. Carolyn always knew the right words to say. The cherished memories from their childhood have become treasures moments in their lives.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Bernice Duff and siblings Julius Duff, Angela Faye Duff, and Martin Duff. She is survived by her husband Bobby J. Bean; four children Bobby J. Bean Jr., Jeffery Bean (Anitra), Tony Bean, and Tanika Bean; three grandchildren Jovani Lewis, Atticus Bean, and Adonis Bean. Four brothers Barry Duff, Lonnie Duff, Rufus Duff (Denise), Ronnie Duff (Marquita); three sisters, Jeanelle Duff, Jackie Lewis (Ronnie), Donna Byrd (Mike); a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The visitation will be held on Monday, July 15, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, Arkansas with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 P.M.
