I am sure going to miss him, our talks and jokes, and when I caught a big fish, I had to call him, and he was happier that I caught it than me. He was a great brother, I will see you again

Mel, was one of a kind. I didn’t get the opportunity to know him as long as I would have liked. The moment, I met him I knew he was a great person. The “real” deal. I will miss him giving me tips on fishing, listening to stories of his family and close friends whom he dearly loved. He also had a love for my 2 Boston Terriers,. Every time he seen us he would would have his graham crackers and Oakley (My Boston) would beat me to the door to get inside for he and Mel to share the crackers. I would have to pick Oakley up to carry him out when we left. Which tickled Mel. I will forever hold our memories dear to my heart. Also to all the wonderful family I had the blessing of meeting. May God’s strength give you all peace and comfort.
Mel, I love you my dear friend and will miss you forever you put up a hell of a fight and now you are free of pain rest in love and peace like you told me. I will see you on the flip side. Oakley Herc and I love you and miss you already.
