David Gene Rasmussen, age 72, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away on August 27, 2025. He was born on April 26, 1953 to Levi Eugene Rasmussen and Norma Jean Fowler in Salt Lake City, Utah.
David worked over 20 years in the US Navy. He briefly worked as a commercial truck driver in the 90’s. He spent the last decades of his working career as a computer maintenance technician at Jefferson Labs.
David is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Cecilia Ann Rasmussen, and brother Douglas Rasmussen.
He is survived by his wife Erlina Hunter; daughters Marian Nichole Rasmussen and Gloria Hunter; son David Reed Rasmussen and his wife Katherine; one granddaughter Zoe Sophia Rasmussen; sisters Kadi Lewis and Debra Costley; brothers Richard Rasmussen and Larry Rasmussen; one nephew and three nieces; and his ex-wife Deborah Louise Binz, mother of David and Marian.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 10:00am in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville.
