Ms. Aline Howton Lemons of Sherwood, Arkansas departed this life on August 15, 2025 following an extended illness. Mrs. Lemons was born on December 30, 1940 in Salem, Arkansas to Henry Howton and Della Mae Henley Howton.
Aline had retired from working in the North Little Rock and Little Rock banking and trust community in Arkansas and lived in Sherwood and Forrest City for most of her life. She was a member of the Forrest City Church of Christ. She graduated from Wheatley High School in 1958 and attended Arkansas State Teachers College in Conway.
Aline cherished her children, grandchildren, and her Howton family brothers and sisters with special affection for her twin brother Allen. She loved playing the piano, sewing, and watching her grandchildren play sports. She was a lifelong Arkansas Razorback fan.
Survivors include her children, John David McMinn and his sons Damon Lee McMinn, Blake Rasdon, and Shawn Rasdon; and son Kevin William Lemons and his children Trystin Dawn Lemons and Tyler William Lemons. Aline is survived by her sister, Audrey Jones, great-grandkids Bentley O’Neal McMinn and David Joseph McMinn, as well as a many nieces, nephews and friends.
Aline was preceded in death by her parents: her five brothers Wilburn, Odis, Herman, Keith and her twin brother Allen Howton; three sisters, Irene Reeves, Janice Holt, and Elnora Adams. Aline was preceded in death by former spouse Howard O’Neal McMinn and former spouse Richard Lemons.
Services will be held at the Salem United Methodist Church in Salem Arkansas on August 26, 2025 at 10:00 am and will be led by Reverend Steven Ray from Sherwood, Arkansas. Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Salem Cemetery.
