Born to Bullous and Millie Wigginton on January 13, 1960. Darrell passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends on September 13, 2025.
Darrell was a devoted husband, unwavering father, and the greatest most loving Papaw. He led his family with love, kindness, and gentleness.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Wigginton; daughter; Danelle (Daniel) Vermillion and son; LD (Sara) Wigginton. Along with his greatest most precious joys, his “little foot” grandchildren: Mason, Madison, Savanna, and Riley. He leaves behind many siblings, nieces, and nephews, whom he loved dearly.
A friendship with Darrell was a friendship for life. His love came easy and he was easy to love. Darrell enjoyed beach trips with family, calling the Hogs with friends, but most importantly, he loved worshiping at church. Darrell was a loyal member of City Hope Church and he was known for his commitment to sharing the gospel. He leaves behind a legacy defined by his steadfast trust in Jesus and countless stories of those whose lives were impacted by his faithfulness.

Celebration of Life and Legacy will be held at City Hope Church on Thursday, September 18th at 11:00am.

Lisa, I am so sorry for your loss. Darrel was a great person and man of God. I know he will be truly missed. We had some great times together at Radiant Life. Prayers for peace and comfort during this time.
