Sharon Cherry-Pearson, 76, of Benton passed away August 19,2020. She was born April17, 1944 in California to the late John Cherry and Edith Wyatt-Cherry
Sharon retired after 18 years from Safeway. After her retirement she spent many years battling and fighting illness and health problems but always had a survivor attitude and was an encourager to others going through the same battles she was. She enjoyed spending time showing her flower gardens and “pretty chickens” to anyone that would enjoy looking at them with her. She was a member of Northside Church of Christ in Benton and loved to serve God. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Sharon was preceded in death by her sister Beverly Hackleton and grandson Sean Pearson.
She left behind her loving husband, George of 55 years; 3 children John Pearson (Denise), Mona Swartley (Bruce), Gary Pearson; 6 grandchildren Dustin Pearson (Micah), Brittony Lovell (Curtis), Erica Ramsey, Tyler Willis (Melissa), Hunter Willis, Jason Willis (Laura), and 8 great grandchildren; Her Sister Kay Blevins ( Charles); as well as many friends and loved ones.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in Sharon’s honor to the Northside Church of Christ, Hospice Fund, 917 N East Street, Benton, Ar. 72015.

So sorry to hear of Sharon’s passing. She was lots of fun and smiled even with the many health problems she endured. I will really miss her at Thanksgiving where we shared lots of laughs and entertained the young folks. Prayers and hugs to the family.

What a special lady, I had the honor of meeting Sharon and making a new friend. An upbeat attitude, smile and laughter, these are the things she displayed when I came to see her. She was funny, kind and thoughtful. At every visit, she would tell me,I AM READY TO GO TO HEAVEN. My life has been blessed to have met her. GO REST HIGH ON THAT MOUNTAIN!!!!!!
