Larry Wayne Rhoden, age 72, of Lonoke, Arkansas lost his battle with cancer on August 1, 2023. He was born in Lanty, Arkansas on November 11, 1950 to the late Fable and Eugene Rhoden.
Larry loved the outdoors and working with his hands. It didn’t matter what it was, he was always tinkering on things that wasn’t even broke (yet). He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed teaching his son to do the same things. He always said he liked being in the woods because it was quiet and peaceful. He also loved to mow his yard and would mow when it didn’t even need to be mowed. He was also crazy about his little dog, Peanut, that followed him everywhere.
Larry is survived by his wife Kathy Rhoden; a son Larry Rhoden Jr; his daughter Melissa Rhoden; and his only granddaughter Chloe Uttley all of Lonoke; one brother Ted Rhoden of North Little Rock; and many more friends and extended family. He loved his family, and there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for them.
Larry is preceded in death by his mother and father Fable and Eugene Rhoden; sister Christine Rhoden; and two brothers John Rhoden and Quincey Walker.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 2:00pm with a funeral service starting at 3:00pm in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, Arkansas.
Arrangements by A Natural State Funeral Service 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076. 501-982-3400. Online guestbook available at www.anaturalstatefuneralservice.com
