Mrs. Phyllis Jane (Waller) Seaton, age 67

Mrs. Phyllis Jane (Waller) Seaton of Jacksonville, Arkansas departed this life on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at the age of 67. She was born in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas on October 3, 1956, the daughter of Elmer Amos and Evelyn Agnes (Caseboult) Waller.

Mrs. Seaton graduated from Grubbs High School and later earned her cosmetology license followed by a cosmetology instructor’s license from Arthur’s Beauty College. She and her husband owned and operated a cosmetology school for over ten years.

She earned a BA in Psychology, Summa Cum Laude, from Harding University (1998). She then worked as a Case Manager where she positively impacted the lives of many families. She then earned an MA in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (2012). She ended her working career in 2018 after having worked for many years as a rehabilitation counselor assisting people in obtaining gainful employment.

Mrs. Seaton is preceded in death by brothers: Charles Amos Waller, Bobby Gene Waller, James Ricky Waller, Walter Stanford Waller, and her parents.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Daniel Seaton; daughter, Lindsey Knight; son, Daniel Seaton, II; brothers, Ralph Waller, Nicky Waller, and Micky Waller; sisters, Patricia Travis, Marie McClusky, Mary Thomas, and Anne Davidson; and four grandchildren.

    I am so sorry to hear this. Phyllis was a big part of my childhood. She was my babysitter and she also taught me how to swim, and my brother Andy how to drive a standard vehicle. My thoughts and prayers are with her family
