Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Patrick Kenneth Dougherty, at the age of 48, was called to meet his Savior, Jesus on Monday, July 22, 2024.

Patrick was born December 2, 1975 to his parents Bob and Cherry Dougherty. He was a precious boy and was very active. He always wanted to be the best of everything he did when he was young. He played baseball and became an extremely good baseball player. He attended Jacksonville High School and received extremely good grades through Elementary and High School.

From there, he went on to Denton, Texas to college. He had already started playing the bass guitar and was extremely good at the music he played. He lived in Denton, Texas for a while going to the university there, spending time with his beloved Rufus playing music on the streets and going to school.

From there he came back to Arkansas and attended the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. From there he started attending the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. There he was on the Chancellors List in May 2004 as well as August 2004. Both were honorary awards for academic achievement.

Patrick started playing in several bands in the Little Rock area. His love for music was very important to him and he loved playing his bass guitar which he played completely by ear; never having learned to read music.

Patrick was loved by so many not only because of his music, his guitar playing but also his juggling sticks which he would have almost always on him. People enjoyed watching sometimes even throwing money.

Patrick was a free spirit. He loved life. He loved his friends. He was a jokester to all of them. He was very loyal to his friends.

Pat had two children. A daughter named Penelope and a son named Kane. He loved them dearly. Pat had some ailments; one of them made his back and neck freeze up but that didn’t stop him. He still did laughing, singing and juggling sticks and trying to play his guitar as often as possible.

Patrick passed away due to a car-bicycle accident on the street near where he lived. The outpouring of love for Patrick has been unbelievable. His life will go on in many videos, stories and films that all have kept and will keep to remember his life and love of them. His family wants to thank everyone for all the kind words, gifts, food and remembering the great times he gave us all. HE WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN!!!

Pat is survived by his sister Christy, brother Rob, and numerous Aunts and Uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by niece Hayden, Uncle Butch and grandparents.

There may be a Celebration of Life in the future, and family will notify all his friends.

Patrick helped me through a very critical time in my life. He always had a way of lifting me through the hardest of times. He made me laugh. He was the most honest person I’ve ever met. I miss him. I always will. But we have great memories that will live on as long as I’m around to share them.
