John Arthur Oliver, 78, of Romance, AR went home to Jesus on Friday, August 16, 2024.  He was born on October 30, 1945, in Newbury, Ohio to Oscar and Freda Oliver.

John was married to the love of his life, Kathleen for 54 years.  They were married in Fairbanks, Alaska on July 3, 1970.  Together they raised four children.

He was drafted in the Army in 1966 and proudly served his country.  He went on to work in the construction field and retired from Township Builders and the City of Cabot.  He was a hard worker and always provided for his family.

He loved going to church and helping others.  He loved hunting and fishing with his family and friends.  He enjoyed traveling, camping, and playing cards.

Preceded in death by his father and mother, Oscar, and Freda Oliver; four brothers Charlie, Norman, George, and Billy; four sisters Mary, Ruth, Ethel, and Katie.

Survived by his loving wife Kathleen Oliver of Romance, AR; two brothers Jimmy Oliver of Waynesville, NC and Ronnie (Linda) Oliver of Mineral Ridge, OH; one sister, Jackie (Bing) Reid of Mineral Ridge, OH; children Katina (William) Wood, Johnathan (Paula) Oliver, Joshua Oliver and Danielle Oliver; grandchildren Mycha Youngblood, Michael (Maddison) Youngblood, Alex Oliver, Madison Oliver, Lily Oliver, Khloee Abbott, Joshua Oliver Jr.; great-grandchildren Mason Youngblood and Maeve Youngblood; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.

Celebration of Life will be held at Restoration Church 11507 Hwy 5 North, Cabot AR, 72023 on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 10am.
