David Lewis Marteny was born on May 23, 1960 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Lewis Marteny and Mary Vails. David had seven brothers Bobby Criswell, Tracy Marteny, Steven Marteny, Donnie Marteny, Paul Marteny, Jamie Marteny, Lewis Wayne Marteny, and two sisters in the Philippines.

Davis was a loving father to seven children Emily Jane Marteny, David Lewis Marteny Jr., Erica Ann Marteny, Joshua David Marteny, Tyler Cole Marteny, Cynthia Marie Rice, and Michael Ray Worrell. He had thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

David worked for the city of North Little Rock for many years and was very well known and loved. He loved the Arkansas Razorbacks, The Dallas Cowboys, and was an avid sports fan. David was The Rolling Stones biggest fan and enjoyed a variety of classic rock music. David loved all his friends at the VFW and will be remembered and missed by his abundance of friends and family.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 2:00pm in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, Arkansas.
