Billy Ray Gowen was born on December 8th 1961 in Fredricktown, Missouri to Jerry Junior Gowen and Ethel Lucille Martin and Departed his earthly home on May 25th 2025 in Little Rock, Arkansas after a brief battle with cancer.

On June 2nd 1990, Billy was united in marriage to Amanda (Amy) Whitchurch together they shared 4 children. Matthew Gowen, Dakota Whitchurch, Theresa Gowen and Kacy Gowen.

Billy had many careers in his life but loved his last as a Custom Cabinet Maker. As a child he helped his father and grandpa in the log woods. As he got older, he worked in a custom boot shop making cowboy boots, then he became a certified Ford mechanic. His last and most loved of his careers was when he opened his own very successful business as a Custom Cabinet Maker. his company was well known in the area until his illness in 2022 when he had to close.

in his earlier years he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his dad and brothers and his friends. He taught all of his children the carpentry skill as they helped in the business and doing other projects they’d come up with. Even his youngest granddaughter tried to help her PaPa work on things. Billy enjoyed spending time with his family and friends when he could and country music.

Billy is survived by his wife Amanda, his children Matthew (Pinyy) of Mt. View Missouri, Dakota (Amanda) of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Theresa (Dusty) of Ward, Arkansas, Kacy Marie of Ward, Arkansas, seven grandchildren Sylas, Sydni, Dallas, Memphis, Harper, Brexley, and Slade, his siblings 2 brothers David Gowen (Brenda) of Cabot, Arkansas, Donald Gowen of Ward, Arkansas and 2 sisters Wanda Martin of Cabot, Arkansas, and Donna (Joe) Lewis of New Madrid, Missouri, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Billy will be missed by all who knew him.
