Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Carl Dean Walker, 85, of Cabot went to be with the Lord on August 9, 2025. He was born on November 12, 1939 in Floral, Arkansas to Temple and Alta Walker.

Carl is preceded in death by a daughter Sandra Darlene Walker and first wife Bonnie Walker Jones; his parents, three brothers Earl Litaker of Floral, Albert Butler of Pleasant Plains, and Jerry Walker of Floral; two sisters Beatrice Clouse of Jonesboro and Minnie Bell Webster of Bald Knob.

He is survived by daughters Carla Smith (Bill) and Kimberly Cole (Paul); grandchildren Jamie Cole, Jordan Sims (Kaylyn), Alyssa Lawrence (Scotty), and Sierra Smith all of Cabot; great-grandchildren Carson, Brylee, Emma, Lailah, Kaison, and Aaliyah; brothers Lynn Walker (Marilyn) of Bald Knob and Roby Lee Butler (Anne) of Batesville; and several nieces and nephews.

He worked at Gurdon Industries in Cabot for several years and went on to work at Tharp Pallet Co. in Concord, Arkansas as a pallet builder. After his retirement, Carl Dean moved back to Cabot. He and his granddaughter, Alyssa, would go get coffee every day, and he enjoyed buying candy and drinks for his great-grandchildren. He had an infectious laugh that would make you smile just from hearing it. He was often seen sitting on his back porch and waving at the cars as they drove by. Carl was also an avid Razorback fan. Whether it was football, basketball, or baseball, he would cheer for them.

We will miss him terribly but know that he is in no more pain and happy to be reunited with family.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025 at 3:00pm in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville.
