Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

William “Eddie” Henson of Cabot, Arkansas, went on his heavenly journey on Saturday, August 23, 2025. He was born in El Dorado, Arkansas, on October 26, 1946, to the late Clinton Eugene Henson and May Morgan Henson of Mt. Holly, Arkansas.

Eddie was a devout believer who loved the Lord and cherished his faith. He spent the last 59 years with his beloved wife, Patricia Anne Henson. Eddie proudly served in the United States Air Force Reserve in the late 1960s. He had a deep love for his family, enjoyed studying his Bible, hunting, cheering for Razorback sports, and never passed up the chance to barter for a good deal.

He graduated from South Arkansas University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and soon after earned his CPA.  He worked for Entergy for nearly 30 years and started his own CPA firm in the late 1980s in the Central Arkansas area. He was a man of great integrity, deeply dedicated to his faith, family, work, his colleagues, and the many clients who became lifelong friends.

Eddie was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Henson Oliver of Hampton, Arkansas.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Anne Henson of Cabot, Arkansas; his son, Jeffrey Paul Henson and wife, Karen Henson of Dripping Springs, Texas; his sister, Jane Burrow and husband, Pat Burrow of Conway, Arkansas; his brother, Troy Henson and wife, Donna Henson of Mt. Holly, Arkansas; brother in law, Dwain Oliver of Texas; and his cherished grandchildren, Emma Henson and Jake William Henson, of Dripping Springs, Texas. Eddie also leaves behind a host of extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 10:00 a.m. Both services will take place in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Eddie was my CPA for 38 years and I was never questioned on my returns. He always made sure everything was done with integrity plus he was a loyal friend. He liked to remind me of how he helped bring me to the Lord. My sincere sympathy to Pat and family. RIP my good friend.

We’ve been friends of Eddie and Pat since the early 1980’s. Our daughters and Jeff grew up on the same street! He was a very respectful gentleman, and did not hide his Beliefs and stood firm on his morals and professionalism! He would catch you off guard with his humor or funny statements, which we called “Eddieism’s”; One of his Eddieism’s was a story about a piece of paper he was looking for; he asked Pat if she had seen it and when she asked, “What kind of paper”, he replied, “flat, a flat piece of paper!”, or “I’ll worry about that tomorrow Charlotte!”, I have no doubt he’s in Heaven and will be balancing many an account up there! Much love and sorrow for Pat, Jeff and the grandkids!
    Respectfully and with Love,
Jim and Sandy and the Parks girls, Shannon and Tiffany

Eddie was family by heart to all of my family . As my daughter, Julianne, expressed, she was shocked and a bit disappointed when she realized that “Uncle Eddie“ was not really her uncle. We will cherish our great memories of times spent with Eddie. Our prayer is that the peace of Jesus will engulf you and His spirit comfort you. Much love

Eddie was a great friend for many many years. We made over 10 trips to Colorado for elk hunting, and riding our 4-wheelers in the mountains, making so many wonderful memories. We also made numerous trips around Arkansas to attend gun shows which Eddie greatly enjoyed.
You will be missed my FRIEND!

I worked at Entergy with “EH” and my office was right next to his. Eddie was a character and I enjoyed talking with him. A really good guy. Family in my prayers.
