Billy Don Hegwood Sr., 66, of White Hall, Arkansas passed away September 27, 2025 at home surrounded by loved ones. He was born July 17, 1959 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Jimmie and Barbara Hegwood who preceded him in death.
Awaiting him in heaven were many aunts, uncles, and grandparents.
He is survived by his wife Brandy Kirby-Hegwood; children Richie Hegwood (Cindy), Tisha Reed, Billy Don Hegwood Jr. all of White Hall; siblings Randy Hegwood (Patricia), Sandy Horn (Lee), and Mike Hegwood; grandchildren Derek Hegwood of Redfield, Malory Jones (Zach) of Redfield, Reghan Ogle (Jordan) of Ft. Rucker, AL, Hunter Reed, Kyndall Reed, Madison Reed, and Kailynne Hegwood all of White Hall; five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A graduate of White Hall High School in 1977, he began a lifelong journey into auto mechanics, heavy equipment operation, and numerous labor and construction related jobs. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, caring for horses, hanging out with friends, and spending time in the casino. Quiet to some, he was the life of the party to those close to him. They’ll remember him as charming, funny, and always being able to draw people to himself for interesting conversation. He was a good daddy to Richie, Tisha, and DJ and stood as their protector. He will be loved and missed by all.
