Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

In Loving Memory of Skylar Sebastian Vinson

June 29, 1995 – September 28, 2025

With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we gather to celebrate the life of Skylar Sebastian Vinson, a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend whose presence brought light, laughter, and love to everyone he encountered.

Born on June 29, 1995, Skylar lived his life with a rare authenticity — loyal and humble beyond measure. He had a gift for finding joy in the simple things, and his spirit was as vibrant and unique as the world he loved to explore. Skylar had a sharp wit and a love for inappropriate jokes that could make anyone laugh even on the hardest days. His quick humor and infectious smile were a balm to those around him, a reminder not to take life too seriously.

A creative soul, Skylar had a passion for graphic design and was endlessly curious about all genres of music. Whether he was diving into a new video game, binging Rick and Morty, or indulging in his love of Mexican food, he lived each moment with enthusiasm. He was a fierce advocate for the underdog, always ready to stand up for what was right and to offer kindness where it was needed most.

Skylar also found peace and purpose in nature — hunting and exploring the outdoors — and shared a deep bond with animals, especially his loyal dog, Priscilla, who was his constant companion and source of comfort.

Skylar’s life was a tapestry woven with love and connection. He is preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, Allen H. Illing, and is survived by those who loved him most: his dad, Drew Vinson; his mother, Ursula Illing-Vinson; his Pops, John Strachan; his brothers, Trystan Vinson, Johnathan Strachan, and Ernie Strachan; his sisters, Shyann Vinson and Kalynn Strachan; his grandparents, Sid and Sherry Fleming and Pegi Lehmann; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Skylar’s time here was far too short, but his impact was immeasurable. His kindness, loyalty, creativity, and humor will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him. Though our hearts ache with his absence, we find comfort in knowing that his spirit lives on — in every laugh he sparked, every song he loved, every person he uplifted, and every memory we hold dear.

“Those we love never truly leave us. There are things that death cannot touch.”

Skylar will forever be remembered, forever loved, and forever missed.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at 2:00pm in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville.
