Trudi Jean Owens of Charleston, MS was born to Gene Tartt and Frances Douglas on August 25, 1964. She was a fiancé, momma, granny, aunt, friend and so many more things to so many people. She entered the gates of heaven on October 5, 2025 at the age of 61.

Trudi was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Dickens, her sisters Lisa Dickens, Crystal Tartt, and Kimberly Tartt along with her grandson Kaiden Owens.

Trudi leaves behind her beloved fiancé, Bruce Barrett, whom she shared her last 8 years with. She loved him with all her heart. We are so very thankful he was there to care for and love our momma the way she deserved.

Trudi leaves behind her father Gene Tartt along with her 4 children whom she loved deeply. Cassie Taylor (Jeremy), Ricky Owens Jr (Kyana), Zack & Houston Owens. 6 grandchildren Connor & Evan Taylor, Blaine & Saevyn Owens, Kyra Young, and Oakley Owens. Also many nieces and nephews along with extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Trudi lived her life full of love, laughter, and compassion. She spent her life not only taking care of those around her but making a career out of it as a CNA. Trudi fought a hard battle this last year but we are eternally grateful she and her fiancé, Bruce, gave their life to the Lord in September 2024. She is now made whole again in the arms of the Lord!

Visitation will be held Friday, October 10, 2025 at The Assembly (2100 N 2nd St, Cabot) 10-11am. Funeral will follow at 11am. Interment will be immediately after at MT Carmel Cemetery, Cabot.
