Phillip Eugene Isaac, 72 years old, and a member of the Cabot High School class of 1971, passed peacefully in his sleep on September 24, 2025. He was a loving husband to his wife of 55 years, an awesome father and grandfather, and a wonderful friend.
He loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved keeping up with his friends, watching his favorite tv show Gunsmoke, hunting, Snoop Dog, fireball candy, Cabot Panther football, and anything to do with the Arkansas Razorbacks.
He was always proud of his children, even when his two daughters decided to attend Arkansas State University and then after graduation, move to Alabama. Thank goodness his son decided to stay close by in Cabot!
Phillip was always the life of the party and kept people laughing with his pranks, jokes, and funny stories; including the time he was in high school and would shoot BB’s with a slingshot at basketball players during a game. There was another time he and a friend snuck into an Arkansas Razorback football game by pretending to be in the marching band and walking out on the field and then sneaking into a seat. President Nixon was at that game.
In Phillip’s wildest dreams, he wanted to have a switch fight with each of his grandchildren. Thank goodness that was just a dream.
Phillip loved the Lord and read his Bible daily. He attended church at Grace Fellowship when he could.
In his later years, he made it a priority to regularly check on friends and family members that were sick or hurting.
Phillip was preceded in death by his father, Joy Osbern
Isaac, his brother Wayne Isaac, niece Andrea Isaac Adams, niece Kara Joy Isaac, his favorite hunting dog Babydoll, and many other family members and friends that passed before him.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Donna Waddle Isaac; his son James Randall Hooper of Cabot and his wife, Shannon Hooper; his daughter, Monica Isaac Pettus of Northport, AL and her husband Brent Pettus; his daughter Mindy Isaac Smith of Fairhope, AL and her husband Jeremy Smith; grandchildren-Aaron Armstrong, Evan Hooper, Mayce Pettus, McKay Pettus, Tate Pettus, Addison Smith, Emily Smith, Sadie Claire Smith and great grandchild Samuel Armstrong.
The Celebration of the Life and Legacy of Phillip Isaac will be held Monday, October 6th at 2:00 pm at Grace Fellowship Church in Cabot, AR. Grace Fellowship Church is located at 601 W. Elm Street in Cabot, AR.
