Bennie A Tolbert Jr, age 85 of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away on November 5, 2025. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on May 21, 1940 to Bennie and Onie (Bowie) Tolbert.
Bennie is preceded in death by his parent Bennie Tolbert Sr. and Onie Tolbert. A sister Gloria Lee and brother JW Tolbert.
He is survived by his wife Jackie Tolbert; son Bennie “Trey” Tolbert III, daughter Connie Walker; Grandchildren Marceles Tolbert, Steffani and Makayla Walker; a host of family and friends.
Bennie was a captain at Jacksonville Police Department for thirty-three years before he retired. He enjoyed riding horses and fishing when he had the time. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Per Bennie’s request there will not be a service.

Jackie, I am so sorry for your loss. Bennie was a good man & was very well liked. He was always so kind. I know Jim really liked him too. God will be your strength to get through the loss .
Rest in peace by friend and brother in blue. You were one of the first to welcome me to JPD and remained a friend and guide throughout my 20 years there. Thank you for your guidance, your help but mostly your friendship. Your job here is done now go get the glory you earned here.
