James Lewis Shirley Jr., age 65, of McRae, Arkansas passed away on March 11, 2026. He was born in Pine Bluff on July 26, 1960 to James and Phyllis Shirley.

James is survived by his wife Debra Shirley, two children Jennifer Jivani and James Lewis Shirley III, his close friends Baron and Tracy Kock, and Karen Rosamond who helped James through his journey.

    Dad also was survived by his son Alex Shirley and Randall Shirley, grandchildren, Natalee Jivani, Noree Byars, Emmanuel Shirley, Lila Shirley, his oldest sister, Louise Daniels, his younger brother Harry Peterson and proceeded by his younger sister Debra Peterson.
    He loved Alabama football, (Roll Tide) was an avid space junkie and drove 18 wheelers for over 20 years. He took after his father (proceeded) James L Shirley Senior and his grandfather (proceeded) Raymond Shirley and served in the Armed forces.
    He is proceeded by his mother, Phyllis Peterson and his treasured grandmother Flossie Logan, AKA Claudie Bell.
