
Sammye Rorex Wilson, age 78, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away on March 12, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on September 24, 1947 to Forrest “Dink” Miller and Edna (Rorex) Miller.
She was preceded in death by her father; Forrest “Dink” Miller, mother; Edna Rorex Miller of Carlisle, AR, sister; Teresa Bolick of Charlotte, NC, brother; Forrest Bernie Miller MD.
Sammye is survived by husband; Mike Wilson of Jacksonville, sister; Jessica Thompson of Ashville, NC son; David Frazier and wife, Kimberly of Tampa, FL, daughter Tiffany Warmouth of Jacksonville, stepson; Kenneth Wilson and wife, Phoebe, stepson; Matthew Wilson of Charleston SC, stepdaughter; Liza Wilson of Austin, TX, and stepdaughter; Corrie Wilson of Charleston, SC, 6 grandchildren; Matthew, Andrew, Jack, Emily, Caroline and Joe, 2 great-grandchildren; Layna and Jessa.
Sammye was a retired employee of the Pulaski County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Arkansas Insurance Department, and National Council of Compensation Insurance, Inc. of Boca Raton, FL.
A private family graveside urn interment will take place at Bayou Meto Cemetery in Jacksonville on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at 10:00am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Sammye’s honor can be sent to St. Stephen’s Episcopal in Jacksonville and/or The Nature Conservancy.

So sorry to hear about Sammye’s passing. She was a lovely, intelligent and funny lady.

Chris and I were so sorry to hear about Sammye’s passing. She was beautiful, clever and funny. She handled the front desk at the prosecutor’s office like a pro. She was so gracious and kind to everyone. Even the angriest people would fall in love with Sammye before they left. I know she will be dearly missed. Sending hugs to all of you.
