Linda Dickerson (née Simmons), age 76, of Vilonia, Arkansas, passed away on March 21, 2026.

Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, Linda spent her life rooted in the community she loved. She worked for the Department of Human Services for many years, dedicating herself to helping others.

Linda will be remembered for her deep love of animals, especially the many stray cats and dogs she took in and cared for over the years. Her home—and her heart—were always open to those in need. She had an infectious laugh and a genuine curiosity about others. She was known for being direct, honest, and fiercely loyal to those she loved.

Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Dickerson; her parents, George and Germaine Simmons; her brother, Harold Simmons; her sister-in-law, Shirley Simmons; her brother-in-law, Harold Corn; and her nephew, Larry Simmons.

She is survived by her sister and best friend, JoAn Corn; her stepdaughter, Debra Recar (Kenny); and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind a lovely group of friends who will miss her dearly.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pulaski County Humane Society in Linda’s memory.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
